Entrace Scholarships

Crosstown Credit Union Scholarship* - $300

Awarded to a first-time student enrolling in a Menno Simons College course. Preference given to graduates of Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute and Westgate Collegiate; however, graduates of all institutions are encouraged to apply.

International Student Scholarships - $1500/year for up to 3 years

Awarded to an international student studying on a student visa.

Dr. J.E. Isaac Scholarship - up to $1000

Awarded to a student majoring in a Menno Simons College program, based on academic merit. Dr. Isaac was a founding member of the Menno Simons College Board and a well-known Winnipeg surgeon.

Isaac & Margaret Redekop Scholarship - up to $300

Awarded to a student majoring in a Menno Simons College program, based on academic merit and leadership skills. Margaret Redekop was a long-time member of the Menno Simons College Board and a teacher in the River East School Division.

Ivan Esau Leadership Scholarships - $1300/year for up to 3 years

Awarded to students enrolled in a Menno Simons College program, based on exceptional academic record and proven leadership qualities. This scholarship was founded by Mr. Paul Esau in honour of his father, Ivan Yakovlevich Esau. To honour the intent of the donor to foster Mennonite leaders, at least one of these scholarships should be awarded to a student attending a Mennonite church. Multi-year scholarships are renewable up to three years and awarded to students registered as majors in Menno Simons College programs. A one-year scholarship may be awarded to a student expressing the intent to major in a Menno Simons College program. 

Margarita Esau Achievement Scholarships - $700/year for up to 3 years

Awarded to students enrolled in a Menno Simons College program, based on strong academic record and proven leadership qualities. This scholarship was founded by Mr. Paul Esau in honour of his mother, Margarita Yakovlevna Esau. Multi-year scholarships are renewable up to three years and awarded to students registered as majors in Menno Simons College programs. A one-year scholarship may be awarded to a student expressing the intent to major in a Menno Simons College program.

Dr. Bernie & Marge Wiebe - $300

Awarded to a returning Menno Simons College student who demonstrates both academic achievement and leadership in addressing conflict, inequality, and poverty, and entering the second, third, or fourth year in a Menno Simons College program. Dr. Wiebe was the founding professor and curriculum developer of the Conflict Resolution Studies Program at Menno Simons College.
