Scholarships Description
To qualify for an MSC scholarship, students must be registered in a minimum of 9 credit hours per semester for a minimum of two semesters; 3 credit hours must be in International Development and/or Conflict Resolution Studies courses.
Scholarships are awarded primarily on the basis of:
1. Academic Performance
2. Community Service
3. Extracurricular Activities
4. Consideration of the applicant’s history of leadership experience
The MSC Scholarship Committee administers awards as required by terms set for each scholarship or bursary. The majority of returning student awards are processed at the beginning in April and entrance awards are processed in late summer.
There are two categories of scholarships, with amounts ranging from $300 - $1500 per year:
1. Entrance Scholarships are awarded to first-time university students taking courses at Menno Simons College. Apply here (PDF).
2. Returning Student Scholarships are awarded to students with a minimum of 30 credit hours at the University of Winnipeg who have completed Introduction to Conflict Resolution Studies or Introduction to International Development Studies. Apply here (PDF).
